| As we come nearer and nearer to 100 members, Anica-Starbell and myself have decided it would only be appropriate to reward the hard work of all our members that has kept this cult going, and made us one of the largest writing cults on Subeta.
As a thank you, we will be hosting a part at Todaros Party Center (Akron, Ohio) upon the milestone of 100 active members.
If you have any suggestions for games or other things we should do at the event, then please share. Members have already come up with many ideas!
- Members bring a food dish - Open Mic - Silly "get to know" games - "Who's Line Is It Anyway?" games - cakewalk (mmm!)
We are looking for more fun and creative ideas!
When the newsletter about the event goes out, there will be a letter to parents so they know all the information. If you parent is still uncomfortable with sending you alone, they are very welcome to come along.
All members under 18 will have to have their parents sign a permission slip before they are allowed to attend!

| This sounds fantastic. I might bring my mom, because she's always wanted to go to Ohio. She was born there, but moved as a baby. She never got the chance to look around or anything. I love the ideas up there. I can't think of any at the moment. | |

| Oh, I should add that parents are FOR SURE WELCOME.
I bet a lot of parents would be a tad nervous about shipping their children off to meet complete strangers, anyway, so they may want to come along and check it out.
Good idea :) | |

| Haha, yeah. Of course. Especially if some of the members are under the age of eighteen. I just need to get a car, now. | |

| An even better point about the members who arent legal adults.
Maybe I should implement a permission slip for anyone under 18?

| Hm, yeah. A permission slip should be required. Like a school field trip, haha. | |

| Lol, good times.
Alright, I will keep that in mind for the event. It may make parents feel more comfortable that we are asking for their permission.
I'll include my phone number and such on the slip so that they can ask questions.
Oh, I cant wait :D | |

| Well, it cant be too much longer, Im sure. What, we're in the 50s as of members right now?
No doubt we'll have enough members by late this year or early 2010.
Which still seems so short when you're planning it.

It's gonna be so interesting to meet everyone from the cult.

| The "add-on" game is a game we often use in theatre to improve our memorization abilities. There are two ways I usually play it. Sometimes you play it with a ball, and you have people throw the ball and then repeat like...
Person 1: Cactus (throws ball to Person 4) Person 4: Cactus, Sand (throws ball to Person 2) Person 2: Cactus, Sand, Beaches (throws ball...)
etc. etc. etc. It's a little harder that way though.
The other way is that you do the same thing without throwing a ball, only it goes in order from Person 1 to Person 2 to Person 3 and so on and so forth.
The basic rule is that your object that you add on only has to have something to do with the object before it.
If you want improv or theatre games, I have a whole HOST of them. =3

| Okay, now it makes sense. (:
And more ideas would be awesome.
Im not sure how we're going to run it yet. We may have stations if there are more games than we can fit in if we trying to do them all as one big group.
I'll keep it all in mind as we get closer.

| Cool. =) I'll start wracking my brains for all the fun theatre games I've played in the past that might be fun. I know Bus Stop is always a popular favourite, as is Carpool.
What kind of music are you going to play??

| Im not sure yet. Probably a mix of everything I can think of.
Im pretty broad in the world of music, so I should have some songs everyone will like, and if I dont, Anica will. Her playlist is huge, and she can burn us CDs.
-adds blank CDs to shopping list-

| Ha ha, w00t, blank CDs!!
I've been listening to my iPod all day and realised I have only two real kinds of music... depressing and slow and extremely up-beat dance music. xD It kind of makes me sad. While a lot of it is foreign... it's still a very small pool for having over 700 songs. =/

| Hey, I dont even like enough songs to warrant owning an Ipod, so you have more experience than I do.
I know songs, I just dont like them, I suppose. Most everything sounds the same to me.

| Really?? I love all the different beats and harmonies and... the way that each song has it's own kind of originality. I've only found a few songs that sound so similar that you can't recognise them off the first few chords. I couldn't imagine life without music/a soundtrack. =P What do you usually listen to that it sounds the same? | |

| Things like Disturbed, Nickelback, Three Doors Down. I just cant seem to tell them apart from each other if I dont know the song.
But, then I listen to stuff like Lady Gaga, where you KNOW who it is, no question.

Anyway, Poker Face is for sure my favorite. But I just generally like anything she does.
